Frank Lloyd Wright was a man known for showcasing his talent in every aspect of his architectural and home furnishing projects. This vision continues to transfer to the work of his followers, spawning the Frank Lloyd Wright clocks we have in stock today.
A dreamer from a young age, Wright believed in designing homes and buildings that connected humanity with its surrounding environment. This became his philosophy for life, a notion Wright later named “organic architecture.”
A great example of this concept was his home called Fallingwater, built in 1935, which is still known today as “the best all-time work of American architecture.”
While an inventor of a great many things, Lloyd Wright focused most of his energy into his home projects. He even went so far as to take over interior designing as well. These included such elements as furniture-making and stained glass window designs, which simply added to his ever-expanding portfolio of amazing work.
And today, his finest pieces are now on display in a different form; through the fine craftsmanship of clockmaking.

Wright took the lead of the Prairie School movement of architecture, where he defined his vision for the Usonian home. This stylistic approach went towards better urban planning in the United States, describing only a small period of creative discovery out of his nearly 70 year career.
Reflecting this era of his work is the Bulova Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian II Mantel Clock. Detailing the “board and batten” walls of these types of homes, this lovely clock shows wooden layers stacked atop each other, with the clock dial resting in the middle. With the possibility for engraving, this lovely Frank Lloyd Wright clock would make a great personalized gift to fit any home.
Emulating his sharp eye for details in nature, the Bulova Frank Lloyd Wright Waterlilies Mantel Clock highlights his famous “Waterliles” drawing. This exquisitely designed piece has geometric images signifying the same type of fractal patterns found throughout the majority of Earth’s life forms. Its silver grey veneer and Bluetooth music feature makes this authentic vintage desk or mantel clock work in even the most modern of homes.
Or, following the geometric theme, look out for the Luxfer Prism Wall Clock. The metal framework is fashioned as a multitude of triangular frames outlining the overly-large clock dial.
Manufactured to show the forty-five prisms of clear glass tiles he created for the Luxfer Prism Company, this Frank Lloyd Wright clock would make a great accessory for any wall of your home.
Furthermore, in an effort to acknowledge the perfect accuracy, beauty and sophistication of each of Lloyd Wright’s designs, these adaptations were even granted certification from the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.
A collection of clocks not to be ignored, Expressions of Time wholeheartedly welcomes sharing these magnificently-detailed timepieces with our customers.
