DAMAGED ORDERS
If your order arrives damaged, contact us within 10 business days. Carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc) require claims be filed within 15 days of delivery. Please include description of the product and packaging. Please attach photos, if possible.
Defective Product Return Policy
If you receive an item that is defective, please Contact Us within 15 days of item receipt. Defective items can be returned for replacement or repair. Expressions of Time will facilitate product replacement to reduce impact to the customer. In most cases, a replacement item will be shipped, with a pre-paid return shipping label and instructions for return of the defective item. Unless instructed otherwise, defective products should not be returned to Expressions of Time directly. This will only delay replacement.
After 15 days, please follow manufacturer’s warranty for product replacement/repair. If you receive an item that does not include a copy of the manufacturer’s warranty, you can view manufacturer warranty information on our site by going to Warranty Information.
Non-Defective Product Return Policy
All purchases may be returned within 30 days of receipt, if within policy. Please read the complete Return/Refund policy, outlined below, prior to completing a return request. All non-defective product returns require a RMA#. Please complete the following form for a RMA number (return merchandise authorization).

All fields are required before a RMA number is generated. Returns will not be accepted without a RMA number.
RMA numbers will not be provided by phone. If you call to request an RMA number, please have your Expressions of Time order number available. One of our support staff will take the order number and email your RMA number.
- Unless otherwise stated, all non-defective merchandise may be returned within one year from time of purchase.
- Returns will not be accepted without a RMA number.
- All returns must be in new, 'as received' condition and include all original packaging, warranty cards and manuals.
- Items that are not in 'as received' condition will not be accepted.
- Please mail your package in a prepaid, insured, traceable method. Include a note with your original order number and reason for return. Return shipping address will be included with the return authorization (RMA).
- Refunds for items returned within the return policy period will be credited in the same form as the original payment type.
- The original shipping and handling charges are not refundable.
- Never hand write on the outside of original manufacturer's packaging. Hand writing on the original manufacturers' packaging reduces our ability to re-sell non-defective, unused product. If an item is shipped in only the original manufacturer's packaging, you may place a label in the same location as the original shipping label. Do not hand write addresses or RMA numbers on the exterior of the box. This information will be on the shipping label so writing on the box is unnecessary. Hand writing addresses and RMA numbers on the outside of the manufacturer’s packaging will reduce refunds by 25%.
- If your item did not arrive double-boxed, do not ship via USPS. USPS uses USPS tape, affixes multiple labels and stamps Parcel Post all over the exterior packaging. This destroys the box. We are not a manufacturing plant and have no spare packaging. Again, this reduces our ability to re-sell non-defective, unused product.
- Shipping and handling is reimbursed for defective items only.
- Orders refused delivery will incur our actual shipping cost to ship to you and the cost charged by UPS/FedEx/USPS to return the item to us.
Return Exceptions
The following items may be returned within 15 days of delivery if they have not been removed from their original packaging. These items cannot be returned once they have been unboxed.
- Howard Miller Grandfather and Floor Clocks
- Howard Miller Wine & Bar Furnishings
- Howard Miller Curio Cabinets
Engraved items are not returnable.
Restocking Fees
With the exception of the following, Expressions of Time does not charge a restocking fee.
- Howard Miller Grandfather and Floor Clocks - 15% restocking fee
- Howard Miller Wine & Bar Furnishings - 15% restocking fee
- Howard Miller Curio Cabinets - 15% restocking fee
- Special order items are subject to a 25% restocking fee
Refund Policy
- Due to security features, credit card information is not retained in our system for more than 60 days, preventing us from submitting refunds if returns are not received within 60 days. After 60 days, credit card information is eliminated from our system, so after 60 days, a check will be processed and mailed.
- Please allow 7-10 days from time return is received by Expressions of Time for refund to be processed. All items must be verified to be in original, working condition.
- The original shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Refunds cannot be processed for any amount greater than the original amount paid. Shipping and handling is reimbursed for defective items only, if returned for a replacement.
- If you refused delivery of your order, your refund will be reduced by our cost to ship to you, as well as the cost UPS/FedEX/USPS charges to return the item
